Is rgraph appropriate for music notation?
Music notation is essentially a "bubble chart" of pitch vs. time,
so I'm wondering whether I could use rgraph for music,
and whether it would offer any advantages over raw drawing commands.
I'm working on experimental music notations,
currently using HTML5 Canvas 2D drawing.

I don't think its well suited to it. You might be able to use the background grid (without vertical lines) for the stave, and black circles for the notes, but I don't know how you' then draw the arms of each note.
