Is there a workaround for the lack of keys for SVG charts?

I really like the SVG charts, but find it hard to use these charts to display multiple datasets. A multiline chart makes no sense if the meaning of each line is unknown. Does anybody have any ideas about alternative ways to display keys?

BTW, I assume that SVG keys will be added sometime in the future? SVG hbars would also be a nice thing to have :-)

Hi there,

Until there is one you could use the HTML key from the canvas libraries:

www.rgraph.net/fiddle/view.html/svg-and-a-html-key

And wrt HBars, there already is one:

www.rgraph.net/svg/docs/hbar.html
www.rgraph.net/demos/index.html#svg-hbar

Thank you for the tip on html keys. Regarding hbars, I was actually thinking about the hbars option available for canvas line charts. Seems like this parameter is not supported for svg charts yet.

Hi there,

You could do background HBars by using another chart. For example thats what this horizontal bar chart does:

The gray background bars are actually another HBar chart. Here's an example of a Radar chart doing the same thing:
