Is there any formal documentation for the new clip option?

hi,

I think the new clip option is very useful. So I tried to find more Infos on setting the values for it. So far I used the samples in the demos archive to use it, but could not find any more formal docs on it. Will you provide some more details for it?

Sure, you can see the documentation page for the clip option here:

Even though it's in the canvas section of the website it also applies to the SVG libraries.
